People who work in HVAC know that the exterior of metal sheet air ducts needs to be wrapped with a layer of rubber and plastic. The purpose is to serve as insulation, preventing cold or hot air from leaking out of the metal sheet air duct and causing a significant temperature difference with the ambient temperature, leading to condensation. How do we perform air duct insulation? First, let me clarify for you that fabric air ducts do not require insulation materials. Fabric ducts rely on their own permeability to separate hot and cold air. Here's how it works:

When the central Air Conditioning System operates in either cooling or heating mode, it is necessary to select permeable fiber fabric to create air ducts. When cold air is being delivered, under the influence of the internal pipe pressure, the cold air penetrates through the gaps in the fibers, forming a 360-degree airflow layer around the pipe. This ensures that the cold air exiting the pipe and the hot air in the surrounding environment do not come into direct contact on the surface of the air duct, eliminating any condensation points. As a result, there will be no condensation on the air duct.

Not only does this type of duct not require additional insulation materials, but it also offers a variety of color options and can be easily matched with any interior decoration style.
